The Company is currently in the process of obtaining an EMI license with the Malta Financial Services Authority and is seeking an experienced MLRO to join our team. 

The Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) will be responsible for ensuring the Company’s compliance with all applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT), and sanctions obligations under Maltese law and EU legislation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of AML/CFT experience in a regulated financial services environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Maltese AML legislation and FIAU Implementing Procedures.
  • Experience in handling STR submissions.
  • Strong understanding of risk-based approach principles.

Will be considered an advantage:

  • Experience within an EMI, payment institution, VFA/VASP, investment firm, or banking institution.
  • Relevant AML certification (e.g., CAMS or equivalent).
  • Prior experience interacting with the MFSA or FIAU.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills.
  • Ability to make independent judgments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with regulators and senior management.

  • Regulatory Approval
    The appointment of the MLRO is subject to regulatory approval where required. The individual must satisfy the applicable fit and proper requirements under Maltese law.
